Free USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) Exam Questions and Answers

The USMLE is a three-step sequence run jointly by the Federation of State Medical Boards and the National Board of Medical Examiners, and two things about it have changed recently enough to catch people out. Step 1 has reported pass or fail only — no number at all — for exams taken on or after 26 January 2022. And the block structure is changing mid-cycle in 2026: Step 2 CK moves to sixteen 30-minute blocks from 7 May and Step 1 to fourteen from 14 May, replacing the hour-long blocks both have used. Step 2 CK still returns a three-digit score, passing at 218, and Step 3 at 200 across its two days. Most boards require all three steps within seven years of your first pass, with four attempts allowed per step.
