- A: As of October 2026 the exam registration fee is US$575 for ISACA members and US$760 for non-members, and it is non-refundable and non-transferable. Registration gives you a six-month window to take the exam, with a one-time six-month extension available for US$75, and once you pass there is a US$50 application processing fee for the certification itself.
- Q2: How many questions are on the CRISC exam and how long is it?
- A: The real exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and you get 4 hours (240 minutes). Some of the questions are unscored pretest items that do not count towards your result.
- Q3: What is the passing score for the CRISC exam?
- A: ISACA reports results on a scaled score from 200 to 800 and you need 450 or higher to pass. You see a preliminary pass or fail on screen immediately after finishing, and the official score is emailed and posted to your ISACA account within 10 working days.
- Q4: What experience do I need to become CRISC certified?
- A: You need three or more years of work experience across at least two of the four CRISC domains, gained within the 10 years before your application, and ISACA allows no experience waivers or substitutions for CRISC. You can sit the exam first and have five years from the date you pass to apply for the certification.
