Free INST1 — Installer 1 Exam Questions and Answers
Installer 1 is one of the BICSI tests covered here. BICSI credentials are separately governed rather than tiers of one scheme, and the split matters before you book. The design and project-management credentials — RCDD, DCDC, OSP and RTPM — require two to five years of relevant experience to sit, run to 100 questions over two to two and a half hours at Pearson VUE, and renew on a three-year continuing-education cycle whose credit quota differs by credential. The installer and technician credentials work differently: they pair a written paper with a hands-on practical, and Installer 1 requires no prior experience whatsoever. BICSI publishes no numeric pass mark and operates no exam-code system.
